Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 8: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Rajya Sabha, Er. Gulam Ali Khatana, emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to uplifting marginalized and oppressed sections of society. He noted that PM Modi's government has undertaken numerous revolutionary initiatives, including political reservations for Scheduled Tribes (STs), reservations for economically weaker sections, the abrogation of Article 370, and a strong stance against dynastic politics.
Addressing a substantial gathering at Village Dhok Waziran in the Nagrota area, MP Gulam Ali Khatana criticized other political parties for exploiting Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities for the past 70 years without genuinely working for their betterment. He highlighted how some parties leveraged family lineages to manipulate innocent masses, especially the ST community in Jammu and Kashmir.
During the event, a significant number of individuals joined the BJP, demonstrating their support for the party's principles and initiatives. Among those who joined were Kajal Chouhan, Prachi Chohan, Varun Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Raj Kumar, Aryan, Arun Vaid, Bittu, Rahul Kumar, Choudhary Makhan, Raju, and others.
MP Khatana further underlined the BJP government's commitment to ensuring that welfare schemes effectively reach the needy and the impoverished. He mentioned that rigorous checks have been implemented to minimize pilferage, with a particular focus on providing potable drinking water and electricity to every household.
He also stated that a policy for providing 5 marla plots to landless and underprivileged individuals has been formalized, and houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) are being constructed on these plots. Despite challenges posed by neighboring countries, Khatana assured that the security forces are well-prepared to thwart any disruptive activities.
MP Khatana urged the public to remain vigilant against anti-social elements, particularly drug smugglers, emphasizing the destructive impact of drugs on an entire generation.
