JAMMU, Oct 9: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) District President Jammu South Rekha Mahajan leads the "Kalash Yatra" in association with Meri Mati Mera Desh campaign in RSPura along with former Minister Sham Choudhary, State Secretary and Prabhari Ayodhya Gupta, Municipal Committee Chairman SatPal Pappi, Former MLC Vikram Randhawa, District General Secretary Akash Chopra, District Vice President Vikram Sharma, Mandal President Vikram Sandhu, and Councillors and 13 wards of Municipal Committee RSPura, Panchayat Rangpur and Gagian include with their Amrit Kalash join the Yatra which starts from Hanuman Mandir RS Pura and reached BDO office RSPura.
Sham Choudhary stated, that the aim of the Meri Maati, Mera Desh campaign is to express the feeling of gratitude towards the immortal sons and to strengthen the belief among their families that the entire country is with them.
Ayodhya Gupta asserted the campaign will be launched to honour the martyred bravehearts and programmes will be organised across India in memory of those who laid down their lives for the country.
Sat Pal Pappi and Vikram Randhawa highlighted the achievements of the Modi-led government and encouraged the public to take advantage of the various schemes initiated by the central government. They emphasized that it is his moral duty to be among the people and serve their interests.
Rekha emphasized that under the campaign, soil will be collected from different villages of District Jammu South to create the Amrit Vatika which will be built near the National War Memorial in New Delhi by fusing the soil and saplings that would arrive in 7500 urns from different parts of the country. During the 'Meri Mati Mera Desh' campaign, The aim of the Meri Maati, Mera Desh campaign is to express the feeling of gratitude towards the immortal sons and to strengthen the belief among their families that the entire country is with them," she added.
Later Rekha Mahajan flanked by BJP leaders handed over the Amrit Kalash to BDO Rajesh Padha in the esteem presence of DDC Prof Garu Ram Bhagat, Param Veer Chakr Bana Singh Ji, and families of Martyrs and other dignitaries.
