MANKOTE, Oct 9: As part of the Sankalp Saptaah launched by the Prime Minister at New Delhi, the Aspirational block Mankote has been organising a slew of activities since 3rd of October, 2023.
On Day 6, with a view to ensure benefits of Centrally sponsored schemes percolate down to the beneficiaries, a series of activities were held under Thematic Area of Samriddhi Diwas (Livelihood) at Village Dabraj in Aspirational Block Mankote.
The programmes were held on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M. Choudhary to sensitize the people about benefits of different schemes.
During the programmes, an Awareness Rally on PM Vishwakarma Scheme was held by the Handloom Department to raise awareness about this Central Sector Scheme recently launched by the Prime Minister.
The concerned department imparted the awareness about PM Vishwakarma scheme envisaging provisioning of the benefits to the Artisans and Craftspersons by Recognition, Skill Upgradation, Toolkit Incentives, Credit Support, Incentives for Digital Transaction and Market Support. In addition, potential beneficiaries were made aware of other Govt run schemes to ensure effective targeting and scheme saturation in line with GoI objectives.
Similarly, Schemes of NRLM as well as Handicrafts Department like Karkhandar and Artisan support schemes were also stressed upon. During the programmes, various Handicrafts items were showcased in the fair.
