| Gupta exposes secular credentials of ruling alliance | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 4- Sharply reacting to manipulations of the ruling Congress-National Conference in attempting to bag all the four seats of Rajya Sabha from Jammu and Kashmir, the leader of the BJP Legislature Party, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta observed that ‘this has not only exposed their undemocratic behavior but also their secular credentials as they have totally ignored the minorities of this State’. Addressing a meeting of the party activists at Jawaharnagar Tali-Morh here today, Prof. Gupta said that the fears of the nationalists, especially, those of Jammu and Ladakh, have come true that this Congress-National Conference gang-up would prove more disastrous and harmful as in the past too their coalition had given birth to many evils, including the armed militancy, in addition to big increase in the regional disparities. At the meeting the activists complained the neglect of developmental activities and poor supply of electricity as also the curtailment in the supplies of rations. Prof. Gupta assured that all out efforts would be made to get sorted out the problems of the slums and get improved the drainage and sewerage and asked the activists to strengthen the organizational setup in the area. Among others the meeting was attended by Ajay Vaid, Baldev Thappa, Praduman and Dinesh.
