Early Times Report

JAMMU, Oct 9: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta asked the Power Development Department (PDD) to do away with frequent power cuts as the same have been irking the people of the Union Territory.
The BJP stalwart leader was addressing a gathering here at Lower Beli Charana in Cantonment Ward No. 6 after inaugurating the lane and drain work, fulfilling long pending demand of the people living in the vicinity.
The senior BJP functionary said that the Modi Government has established a set-up in J&K that all nooks and corners have been provided focused attention and that is the reason behind unprecedented development in the UT. “Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi, Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed a transformation like never before.
The Union Territory has undergone substantial growth across various sectors, leading to improved living standards and prosperity for its residents,” he added.
He said working persistently, the government led by PM Modi has ensured that all people in J&K get the basic civic amenities and also the services meant for public welfare.
Speaking on the power outage, Kavinder Gupta anticipated that LG Manoj Sinha’s administration must be working on it and sooner than later things will be sorted out and power cuts will come down to bare minimum as people especially students and old ones suffer a lot due to load shedding.
He asked the government to go after this problem and remove the things which have gone haywire as frequent power cuts do irk the people, which often invite public criticism which should not be the case at all.
Others present during the inauguration of the development work included Bharat Bhushan Vice Chairman Cantonment Board, Vinay Gupta, Amrik Singh, Narinder ji, Ravinder ji and others.
