Our Health Our Responsibility” Campaign Launched in Doda District

DODA, Oct 9: On the directions of Administrative Secretary Health & ME, Bhupinder Kumar and to ensure the health & well being of the general public, Health department (IDSP Unit) Doda organized a meeting of different sectoral departments to gear for the launch of “Our Health Our Responsibility” campaign . The meeting was chaired by Chief Medical Officer Doda Dr Ab Hamid Zargar and attended by officers/representatives from different departments including Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr Mayan ud Din Gures; Executive Officer Municipal Council Doda, Yousuf Ul Umar; Javed Iqbal Bangroo (Food Safety Officer); Suhail Ahanger, JE Jal Shakti Department; Range Officer, WildLife Department besides Epidemiologist Umar Anayat Khan, Jahangir Mehta, Rishi Pandita, Sanjeev Rana, Mashhood Latief and Faizan A Tramboo.
Earlier, the meeting started with the welcome address by Epidemiologist Umar Anayat, who briefed the meeting about this new initiative to be started by the health department in coordination with different inter-sectoral departments. Through a powerpoint presentation, he gave details about different activities to be conducted under the “Good Health & No Disease” campaign. After threadbare discussions, the CMO, Dr Zargar also underlined the initiatives to be taken to conduct different activities under the campaign which shall start in the different parts of the district by this month. The CMO informed that during the month long campaign the health department, in coordination with Municipal Committees, Animal Husbandry, Jal Shakti, WildLife and Food and Safety Department, shall organize a series of awareness programmes viz water testing, food borne disease awareness, house to house visit, spraying, Hb check, generation of ABHA Ids, rabies & snake bite awareness programmes, through community mobilization, strengthening surveillance, inter-sectoral coordination and to maintain healthy life style.
