Early Times Report

RAJOURI, Oct 9: The week-long Sankalp Saptah, a transformative program closely aligned with the Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP), concluded today in the aspirational block of Khawas, Rajouri district.
This remarkable initiative, officially inaugurated by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, at Bharat Mandapam, ITPO, New Delhi, has been a testament to the commitment of the government to enhance governance at the block level, thereby directly benefiting the local citizens.
Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, the Sankalp Saptah event in Khawas witnessed an array of impactful activities organized by different departments.
It commenced with “Sampooran e Swasthaya” by the health department on the first day, offering vital services like ANC clinics, immunization drives, NCD screenings, anaemia tests, TB awareness campaigns, and rallies.
On the second day, the ICDS Department hosted the “Suposhit Pariwar Poshan Mela,” which featured nutrition-related activities such as growth monitoring of children and weight assessment of pregnant women, along with cultural ceremonies like “Godh Brai” and “Annaprasan” at anganwadi centers.
The third day was dedicated to “Swatchta Ek Sankalp,” focusing on cleanliness activities at the gram panchayat level.
This was followed by “Krishi Mahotsav” on the fourth day, promoting agricultural advancements. “Shiksha Ek Sankalp” on the fifth day concentrated on improving education in primary and middle schools across the block Khawas.
The sixth day observed as “Smridhi Diwas,” celebrated progress and development at Panchayat Ghars.
The event reached its culmination today with the “Sankalp Saptah Samavesh Samaroh.”
The Sankalp Saptah is a crucial initiative that stems from the aspirations and inputs gathered during chintan shivirs at the village and block levels across the nation.
It embodies the relentless commitment of the Government to grassroots development and governance enhancement. The Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP), initiated by the Prime Minister on January 7, 2023, is the guiding force behind these efforts, with a vision to directly impact the lives of citizens in aspirational blocks.
This successful culmination of Sankalp Saptah in Khawas, Rajouri district, exemplifies the power of community engagement and government initiatives working hand-in-hand to create positive change at the grassroots level. It is a testament to the dedication of the government and its unwavering resolve to bring progress and development to every corner of the nation.
