JKMEF advocates for permanent Director Health Services Jammu

JAMMU, Oct 10: On the 10th of October, 2023, the Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation, led by President Sushil Sudan, who is also a distinguished member of the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), convened a pivotal meeting. During a press conference held as part of this gathering, Sushil Sudan appealed to the government to appoint the incumbent Director of Health Service Jammu, Dr. Rajeev Sharma, as the permanent Director and consider extending his service. Sudan highlighted the numerous achievements of the Health Department and the pro-employee initiatives taken by the acting Director, Dr. Rajeev Sharma.
In his address, Sushil Sudan expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the Director of Health Services Jammu, recognizing his role in addressing the demand for the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC). Sudan also extended his gratitude to Dr. Rajeev Sharma and his dedicated team of ministerial staff for their relentless efforts in achieving this feat within a stipulated timeframe.
Sudan emphasized the positive impact of this initiative on the local public, underscoring that increased staff availability in healthcare facilities would provide much-needed relief to the community. Additionally, he pointed out that this development addresses a long-standing demand of the Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation by promoting 550 health employees.
Taking a forward-looking approach, Sudan appealed to the Government to consider extending the service tenure of dedicated and hardworking officers like Dr. Rajeev Sharma beyond the month of January and to make him the permanent Director, thus allowing him to continue his exemplary work. He expressed optimism that other pending demands of the federation would also receive timely attention and resolution.
The Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare of its members and the enhancement of healthcare services in the region. The Federation eagerly anticipates continued constructive collaboration with the Government to further improve the healthcare infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir.
Other speakers at the meeting included Parfulat Singh, Bharat Bhushan Bhagat, Jaswinder Singh, Shafqat Hussain, R.P. Singh, Bahadur Singh, Tajinder Singh, Sunil Chauhan, Mukhtiar Kohli, Madan Sharma, Kulwant Singh, Saurav Bakshi, Ashwani Kumar Gupta, Sultan Mohd, Pawan Singh Jamwal, and Ramneek Singh.
