Two notorious thieves apprehended, stolen property worth Rs 2.5 lakh recovered

JAMMU, Oct 10: On the 2nd of October, 2023, a complaint was filed by Muffzar Hussain Rishi, son of Ali Mohd Rishi, residing in Sayedpur, Sopore, District Baramulla, at Chak Largan Bajalta. Rishi reported a burglary in his residence at Chak Largan Bajalta, prompting the initiation of legal proceedings. A case, FIR No. 414/2023, under Sections 457/380 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), was promptly registered, and an investigation was launched.
During the course of the investigation, a dedicated police team from Police Post Sidhra, under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota, Aakash Kohli, and with the able assistance of SHO P/S Nagrota, Inspector Vishav Partap Singh, along with the in-charge of Police Post Sidhra, worked diligently. The overall supervision of this operation was under the watchful eye of SP Rahul Charak. Their relentless efforts bore fruit when they successfully apprehended two suspects, identified as Khattab Hussain, son of Reham Ali, resident of Bain Bajalta, and Aamir Khan, son of Alam Din, resident of Bain Bajalta.
Upon thorough questioning, the accused individuals admitted their involvement in the aforementioned case. Following their confession, stolen items were recovered from their possession. The list of recovered items includes:
LCD 32 inch, AC Window 1.5 ton, Stabilizer 5 KV, Stabilizer 7 KV, Refrigerator, Air Cooler, Heater, Geyser 50 litres, Geyser 35 litres, Gas stove along with gas cylinder, One quilt and one blanket and Two Jackets. The investigation into this case is ongoing, and efforts to bring any additional accomplices to justice are in progress. The total estimated value of the recovered stolen property is approximately Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
