Anshu Sharma, Consultant (IEC/Media) from SOTTO J&K, shared her expertise with students and faculty, shedding light on the profound significance of organ donation. She emphasized that donating organs is a noble act, a remarkable gift of life to fellow beings, and indeed, the greatest service to humanity. Sharma passionately encouraged everyone present to pledge their support for organ donation. Principal B.B. Anand addressed the gathering, underlining the nobility of organ donation, which offers a unique opportunity to save lives even after one's own passing. He stressed the importance of recognizing and appreciating the contributions of all individuals involved in the organ donation process. The event marked a significant success, organized by the Red Ribbon Club at GDC Sidhra, in collaboration with the NSS (National Service Scheme) Unit. Dr. B.B. Anand, the college's Principal, provided overall supervision for the event, and it was efficiently conducted with the active support of Dr. Punam Rani, Head of the Department of History, and Dr. Mehmood Ahmed, Program Officer for NSS. This awareness program not only educates and motivates individuals about the profound impact of organ donation but also encourages them to take action to save lives through this selfless act. GDC Sidhra's commitment to this noble cause serves as an inspiration for the community to embrace the value of 'Donate Organ, Donate Life.' |
