DC kick-starts work on JJM Water Supply Scheme at Dassal

RAJOURI, Oct 11: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, with a resolute commitment to elevate water accessibility and sanitation in the region, has kick started work on the pivotal Water Supply Scheme Dassal under the Jal Jeevan Mission. In an enthusiastic gathering of local residents, the Deputy Commissioner extended his heartfelt congratulations to mark this momentous occasion. Present at the ceremony were the Tehsildar Rajouri, Varinder Sharma and Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Department Rajouri, Ashwini Sharma.
The Dassal Water Supply project, with an estimated cost of 5.50 crores, stands as a beacon of progress. Its primary objective is to provide functional household tap connections (FHTC) to a total of 451 households, thereby benefiting approximately 3000 individuals in the area.
The DC commended the unwavering support of the local residents and underlined the profound significance of project like these in elevating the overall quality of life for the entire community. He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to delivering clean and accessible drinking water to every resident, perfectly aligning with the ambitious goals of the Jal Jeevan Mission.
