Block Chowki Choura celebrates Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign to honor national heroes

CHOWKI CHOURA, Oct 11: Block Chowki Choura joined the nationwide #MeriMaatiMeraDesh campaign on the 11th of October 2023, to pay tribute to the sacrifices of our national heroes. This remarkable event saw the collection of soil, grains, and plants in a single kalash at the Block level, gathered from 10 different Panchayats of Block Chowki Choura, as a symbol of reverence to our martyrs.
The celebration witnessed the esteemed presence of the chief guest, Suresh Kumar Sharma, Member of the District Development Council (DDC) Chowki Choura. Accompanying him were several other dignitaries, including Rahul Dev Sharma, Block Development Council (BDC) Member, Virender Gupta, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Chowki Choura, Raman Jandyal, Tehsildar, Rupinder Kour, Block Development Officer (BDO) Chowki Choura, Satpaul Sharma, Principal, and the respected PRI members (Sarpanches and Panches) of Block Chowki Choura.
In a heartwarming gesture, the families of Shaheeds (martyrs) from different Panchayats of Block Chowki Choura were felicitated, honoring the supreme sacrifice of their loved ones in the line of duty. This act of recognition and appreciation resonated deeply with the community.
The event was enriched with a cultural extravaganza, including Saraswati Vandana and a patriotic group song presented by the students of Government High Secondary School Chowki Choura. The people of Block Chowki Choura actively participated in large numbers, displaying enthusiasm and zeal for this meaningful campaign.
This #MeriMaatiMeraDesh event exemplified the spirit of unity, patriotism, and respect for our national heroes and served as a collective gesture of gratitude to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country.
