JAMMU, Oct 11: The Eco-Club and NSS Unit of Government College for Women, Bhagwati Nagar, came together under the patronage of Dr. Meeru Abrol, Principal of the college, to organize the inspiring "Amrit Kalash Yatra" event, as part of the "Meri Mati Mera Desh" campaign. This event was dedicated to showcasing unity, patriotism, and to express gratitude and pay homage to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our beloved nation.
The "Amrit Kalash Yatra" event, a vital component of the "Meri Mati Mera Desh" campaign, was designed to instill a deep sense of pride and love for our motherland. Principal Dr. Meeru Abrol, students, and faculty members actively participated in this noble endeavor by bringing soil and rice from their respective homes. These symbolic materials were then collected in beautifully decorated Amrit Kalash (holy water vessels) to form a procession that traveled around the college campus in a Kalash Yatra.
