Inter-District Divisional Level Softball Competitions

JAMMU, Oct 11: The Inter-District Divisional Level Softball Competitions for AAG boys commenced today at GGM Science College Ground Jammu. Over the course of two days, this tournament will see the participation of about four districts from Jammu division, and it is being hosted by District Jammu.
On the first day of the competition, in the under-19 years category, District Samba emerged victorious by defeating District Kathua with a score of 2-0. Ansh, representing District Samba, made impressive home runs, adding to the excitement of the match. In the subsequent game of the day, under-19 years Boys from District Jammu secured a 9-5 win against District Kathua. Manik Choudhary (West Picture) showcased remarkable skills during this match.
In the under-17 boys category, Jammu continued its winning streak, beating Kathua with a significant score of 12-1. Yashvardan of District Jammu also contributed to the excitement with his impressive home runs.
During the inaugural function, Sh. Sukh Dev Raj Sharma, District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) of Jammu, interacted with the participants at GGM Science College Ground, Jammu. He shared valuable insights with the young athletes, encouraging them to play the game with full strength and a sportsman spirit, emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship.
This tournament is being organized under the patronage of Director Youth Services and Sports, JK UT, Subash Chander Chibber (JKAS), and is guided by Joint Director Youth Services and Sports, Jammu, Sh. Suram Chand Sharma (JKAS), with the overall supervision of DYSSO Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma.
The matches were officiated by a panel of experts from the Department, ensuring a fair and competitive environment for all participants.
