| ‘Crazy Kiya Ray' to vibrate Jammu Youth: Balwant Thakur | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 4- Natrang is going to launch altogether a new show 'Crazy Kiya Ray' focusing today’s youth on February 6 at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu.
Disclosing this at a press conference here today Natrang Director Balwant Thakur said the 'Crazy Kiya Ray' is a new play production conceived and directed by Sumeet Sharma, who has already proven his mark with the successful presentation of his earlier electrifying productions like 'Mind Games' and 'Gifti'. Introducing to the media Natrang Director said that Sumeet Sharma has done Masters in Dramatics from Indian Theatre Department. His play 'Mind Games', he said, was highly appreciated when it was featured in the theatre festival organized by National Academy of Music, Dance and Drama, New Delhi. The most noteworthy feature of his plays is that he writes, directs and acts himself. Natrang, in its endeavor to promote a new generation of directors, is giving full creative liberty to its artists to evolve experiment and dig out new possibilities for modern contemporary theatre, he added.
Elaborating on this new concept Balwant further said that unfortunately the film, television and theatre is not focusing the youth of the country and there is hardly any occasion where the youth could see their aspirations finding a place in these programmes. Sumeet has attempted to showcase the fantasies of the young world, their longing for the love relationships, and craze to remain the centre of attraction. Their unfulfilled desires and aspirations never allow them to focus their career and self development. Sensing such aptitudes and craze for opposite sex, lot many shops have emerged to cater to this craziness and thus promoting a new area of consumerism. To focus attention and to look different, most of the youth have lost their originality and the real identity. Instead of giving attention to the core issues and harsh realities of life, the youth today is living in fools’ paradise wasting their prime time and hard earned money of the parents.
'Crazy Kiya Ray'- a musical, fast paced, heart throbbing performance will hijack the audience at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu on February 6 to the world of young dreams. The fast-paced music, thrilling dances and glittering lights will be the attractive features of this new venture of Natrang.
The artists, in addition to Sumeet Sharma who are being featured in this new production, include Mohit Sharma, Rohit Verma, Gaurav Jamwal, Rahul Singh, Tajasvi Sharma, Divya Kohli, Pooja Sharma, Hemant Bholla, Anita Dhar, Bipin Gupta, Vijay Kaul, and Mohammed Yasin.
