DPS Jammu students excel in National Finacne Olympiad

JAMMU, Oct 12: With an aim to promote a deeper understanding of financial acumen and build good money habits, Delhi Public School Jammu participated in the prestigious National Finance Olympiad (NFO). Total 66 students from classes VI to XII appeared for this Intra-School prestigious exam held online on 9 th September, 2023 and brought laurels by bagging 1 st , 2 nd & 3 rd rank and certificates in the above said Olympiad competing with their counterparts from their respective classes pan India and abroad.
The Olympiad is thoughtfully designed to test practical finance knowledge and concept application to help child learn the basics of real-world finance. The exam was organized in 3 categories for classes VI to VIII, IX to X and XI to XII. All the students were ranked according to their performance in their respective category and were awarded with participation certificates. The students who topped in their respective categories are:-
Puranjay Sharma (VII) - Rank 1, Somya Sharma (VI) - Rank 2, Tashif Hafiz (VII) - Rank 3.
Tarini Gupta (IX) - Rank 1, Jagrit Rajpal (X) -Rank 2, Prarthana Gupta (X) - Rank 3.
Divita Gupta (XII) - Rank 1, Bhavani Bhalla (XII) - Rank 2, Anvi Gupta (XII) - Rank 3.
These students will now compete for the National Level Exam to be held in the month of November, 2023.
The esteemed Management DPS Jammu President-RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh, distinguished PVC-Dr. Kuwarani Ritu Singh, Director S.S Sodhi along with Principal- DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra congratulated the toppers, participants and their parents and for their active participation in the exam. They also lauded the efforts of teachers incharge, Navneet Kaur and Dr. Paramjeet Singh. Headmistress, Meenu Gupta too applauded them.
