Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 12: Advocate Purnima Sharma, Spokesperson of BJP, Jammu and Kashmir, and former Deputy Mayor, has raised serious concern over the growing menace of narco-terrorism in the Union Territory.
While commending the continuous efforts of the Indian government and its armed forces to maintain peace along the borders and eliminate terrorism, Advocate Purnima Sharma expressed her concerns about Pakistan's persistent efforts to disrupt the peace in Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan, having been thwarted in its attempts to create unrest through traditional means, has now resorted to targeting the youth of the country through narco-terrorism. This is an insidious and dangerous trend that cannot be ignored.
Purnima called upon the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to remain vigilant and resilient in the face of these threats. She urged the people of Jammu and Kashmir to provide unwavering support to the security agencies and the government in their collective mission to safeguard the state and its people.
The recent successful operation by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, resulting in the apprehension of eight suspects, is a significant step towards dismantling the narco-terrorism network. She lauded the efforts of security forces in busting this dangerous nexus. She emphasized that such actions are essential to ensure the safety and well-being of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The senior BJP leader emphasized that this alarming development underscores the critical need for a comprehensive approach to tackle the narco-terrorism issue. She stressed the significance of bolstering border security, improving intelligence-gathering capabilities, and raising awareness among the youth about the perils associated with narcotics and radicalization. She firmly asserted that it is only through collective and unwavering determination through which we can safeguard the future of the country and maintain peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.
