Arrangements of Devotional song competition discussed

Katra, Oct 12: A meeting of Navratra Festival’s All India Devotional Song Competition Committee ( organized by SMVD Shrine Board, J&K Tourism & Mh1 network in association with SMVD Narayana Super Speciality Hospital,Divinity,Nidheesh Builders & Developers Pvt.Ltd. and other other organizations ) was held here today under the chairmanship of its Chairman Rakesh Wazir wherein threadbare discussions were held with regard to its preparations.
While speaking on the occasion Mr.Wazir briefed that Navratra Festival’s All India Devotional Song Competition will be held this year with much fanfare and top film personalities and singers from Film Industry besides gracing the occasion will perform their duties as judges as well.He said that star cast of Pahlaj Nihalani’s ( Former Chairman Censor Board of Film certification and renowned film maker” coming up movie “Anari is back” which is releasing on 24th Nov. is coming to attend the final of the competition.He further said that the film singers including Shanker Sawhney,Masha Ali,Jan Heer,Amrinder Bobby,Balraj besides former winners of the competition including, Mool Raj,Sonali Dogra,Anjusha,Sanjeet Kumar,Ravi Kumar,Chaman Lehri,Himani Kapoor will perform live in the event.
Wazir while speaking on the occasion said that this year this would be 24th competition and efforts would be made to increase its horizon and keeping in view this fact in mind,its publicity for auditions and participation is going on through print and electronic media and auditions are going to be held from 15th Oct.to 19th Oct. and its registration can be done at Tourist Office Katra personally or through mobiles 9419915907,9797684979.
Wazir further elaborated that the Ist prize of the competition would be 3 lac and recording contract with Venus Records & Tapes Ltd. and the pattern of qualifying rounds is wherein 2nd & 3rd winners of the preliminary rounds will compete on 21st Oct.i.e. Quarter final.1st position holders of daily competition will compete with the winners of the Quarter final on Semi final i.e. on 22nd Oct. for their entry into Mega Final to be held on 23rd Oct. at Yog Ashram Ground and leaving aside Mega final repetition of devotional song will not be allowed in quarter final/semi final.
In the meeting different committees were formed for the smooth conduct of the competition which included Committee for Reception of guests which will comprise of Shyam lal Kesar as its Chairman & Virender Kesar as Co- Chairman,Committee for finalizing of names of judges to be submitted onwards for their final approval and their arrangements included Swami Yoganand ji Maharaj as its Chairman. The Committee for facilitation of auditions and its management will comprise of Subash Chander as its Chairman and Gopal Singh as Co-Chairman. The Committee for media facilitation and management include Rakesh Sharma as its Chairman and Kartik Singh as its Co-Chairman. The Committee for stage settings/sitting arrangements and supervision include Sardari Lal Dubey as its Chairman.The Committee for accommodation of media and out side singers include Virender Kesar as its Chairman and Ajay Kotwal as its Co-Chairman. In addition to that a Committee was also formed for taking immediate major decisions will comprise of Rakesh Wazir Chairman All India Devotional Song Committee as its Chairman with Chairmen of all Sub- Committees of AIDSC as its members.
It is also decided in the meeting that Anupma Sharma Former Head of Music,Government College Parade will work as Technical Director of the Competition besides being the member of the Committee.
Wazir further said that live telecast of the programme for all eight days will be made through Mh1 from 16th Oct. to 23rd Oct. from 9 PM onwards daily.
The inauguration of Navratra Festival would be held on 15th Oct. at Yog Ashram Complex at 6 PM and its live telecast would be available on Mh1.
The meeting among others was attended by Swami Yoganand ji Maharaj,Virender Kesar,Rakesh Sharma,Kartik Partap Singh,Subhash Chander,Gopal Singh,Neeraj Jamwal,Ajay Kotwal,Rajinder Singh etc.
