| Gandhi Nagar interior roads mock Smart City claims | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 12: Deplorable condition of the interior roads in posh Gandhi Nagar locality put a question mark on the claims of authorities to turn Jammu into a Smart City.
Residents of the area while talking to Early Times said, "The road on the back side of the Ankur Gift House is in shambles as the upper layer has almost been washed away."
They said that the blacktopping of this road was conducted recently. "How can Jammu become a Smart City with roads being in a dilapidated condition?"they asked.
Residents urged the concerned authorities to take a note of the upper layer of recently done black topping wearing off and roads within the heart of the city turning dilapidated. "We hope the officials will take cognizance of the matter and act before all the interior roads in Gandhi Nagar wear off," they added. |
