BJP Launches Maha Sampark Abhiyan to Highlight Post-Article 370 Initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir
10/14/2023 10:16:06 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 14: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jammu and Kashmir is set to initiate the “Maha Sampark Abhiyan” starting from October 24, 2023. The campaign aims to shed light on the transformative initiatives undertaken by the Modi government in the Union Territory after the historic abrogation of Article 370. Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, chaired a meeting of senior party functionaries at the Party Headquarters in Jammu to discuss the upcoming campaign. During the meeting, Gupta emphasized that the primary objective of the Maha Sampark Abhiyan is to highlight the significant initiatives taken by the Modi government following the abrogation of Article 370 from the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. One of the key aspects discussed during the meeting was the impact of Article 370’s abrogation on various communities. It was acknowledged that Article 370 had deprived several communities of their due rights. However, the decision to revoke Article 370 has brought about a positive transformation in the region, offering a dignified life to various communities.
Gupta pointed out that several central laws related to labor, education, and healthcare were extended to Jammu and Kashmir, aligning the Union Territory with the rest of the country. The government successfully conducted District Development Council (DDC) elections, allowing local self-governance and attracting investment through summits. Educational reforms, infrastructure development, and employment initiatives were launched to empower the youth and improve overall stability.
The former Deputy Chief Minister highlighted that these efforts have led to a decline in terrorist incidents and significant economic growth in the Union Territory. Initiatives promoting women’s rights through land rights and educational opportunities, as well as improved access to quality education through educational institutions and infrastructure development, were also mentioned. Additionally, schemes and programs aimed at empowering the youth and reducing corruption have been implemented.
Kavinder Gupta urged party workers to gear up for the Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyan and reach every nook and corner of the Union Territory to highlight these initiatives and key achievements of the Modi government. This campaign aims to transform the region, promote development, and offer better opportunities to its residents.
The Maha Sampark Abhiyan is set to be an important initiative to inform and educate the public about the progress and changes that have taken place in Jammu and Kashmir since the abrogation of Article 370.
