UDHAMPUR, Oct 14: Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta, the Principal of GDC Udhampur, expressed his profound appreciation and admiration for the remarkable work undertaken by the Yuva Soch Yuva Bharat (YSYB) Ikai of the college. He firmly believes that YSYB, which has already become a well-recognized name in Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh (JKUT) and across India, will play an instrumental role in social work and revolutionizing the thoughts of Udhampur's youth and the entire nation.
The college's Principal, Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta, and the college staff proudly recognized and applauded YSYB's exceptional contributions, particularly in the areas of raising mass awareness against drug abuse (Nashamukti) and promoting cleanliness (Swachhta Hi Sewa). The YSYB members participated in a Wall Painting competition and a Skit on Swachchta, which were organized by the District Administration of Udhampur in collaboration with Red F.M 91.9 on October 2, 2023.
To commemorate their achievements, the YSYB team, including Vishal Roudhan, Prashant Khajuria, Antriksha, Nikhil, and Stuti, under the guidance of their mentor, Dr. Pankaj Sharma, received a trophy and certificates of appreciation from the District Administration on October 9.
In a ceremony that followed, the YSYB members and their mentor were felicitated by the college administration. Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta, Chief Patron of YSYB, expressed his elation at the organization's growth and accomplishments. He underscored his pride in the exemplary work being done by YSYB, both in Udhampur and in far-off villages across India.
