Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 14: In a stirring display of patriotism and gratitude, the NSS Unit of Government Degree College Kunjwani hosted a remarkable one-day program dedicated to the Amrit Kalash Yatra. This heartfelt tribute to the veers and veeranganas who made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation was organized as part of the 'Mere Maati Mera Desh' campaign.
The event, held within the college premises, received enthusiastic participation from the students and faculty, demonstrating a deep sense of national pride and respect for India's cherished heritage.
Key highlights of the program included a symbolic plantation drive, a moving memorial service, the singing of the National Anthem (Rashtra Gaan), and a solemn pledge to uphold the core values of the nation. The Principal, Dr. Ravender Kumar Tickoo, encouraged the students to carry this sense of duty and respect forward, inspiring future generations to protect India's cultural and historical legacy.
This Amrit Kalash Yatra event aimed to pay homage to the brave souls who dedicated their lives to the nation, with a special focus on freedom fighters and defense personnel. The program's success was credited to the coordination efforts of the NSS Programme Officer, and the event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Prof. Bushra Nizami.
Stay tuned for more updates on this inspiring tribute to India's heroes at GDC Kunjwani.
