Govt Polytechnic organizes six-day training program for SMVDSB Employees

JAMMU, Oct 14: Government Polytechnic Jammu successfully organized a six-day training program from October 9 to October 14, 2023, aimed at enhancing the skills of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) employees in plumbing techniques. The training program was conducted under the guidance of Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal of Government Polytechnic Jammu.
On the valedictory day, Er. Arun Bangotra awarded training certificates to the SMVDSB employees. The event was attended by Er. Sukhdeep Singh, Head of the Civil Engineering Department; Er. Manjeet Singh, Head of the Electrical Engineering Department; and Er. Raj Kumar, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department.
Throughout the training, Er. Sukhdeep Singh provided the employees with an introduction to various plumbing tools, including their manufacturing, safety precautions, and service tools. Pawan Kumar, Plumbing Instructor, conducted hands-on training for the employees, focusing on different types of plumbing tools, their implementation, and field practice. Er. Akash Dusgotra, Course Coordinator, stressed the importance of providing plumbing training to staff, as it can be beneficial for maintaining and troubleshooting plumbing issues.
Er. Arun Bangotra informed the participants about the latest technologies available at CIIIT Jammu, where engineering students are upskilled to meet industry demands related to electric vehicles, mechatronics, IoT, automotive air conditioners, and more.
The SMVDSB employees expressed their gratitude to the college administration for providing excellent training to enhance their knowledge and skills. Er. Arun Bangotra, along with the HODs and other faculty members, distributed certificates to the staff who successfully completed the one-week training program.
Prominent faculty members who were present during the certificate distribution included Er. Sukhdeep Singh, Er. Raj Kumar, Er. Jasdeep Kour (HOD I&C Department), Er. Sanjay Koul (HOD Computer Engineering), Er. Paramjot Singh, Er. Rishab Sharma, Er. Amit Gupta, and Er. Arshad Ranja (Demonstrators Civil Engineering).
