Timely settlement of insurance claims relieves families of J&K Bank customers

Srinagar, Oct 14: In a major relief to the affected families, J&K Bank facilitated the swift settlement of five MetLoan & Life Suraksha (MLLS) insurance claims of its deceased borrowers who had their accounts in different branches of the Bank. The claims worth Rs 71.67 Lacs were paid to the family members of deceased customers in Anantnag and Srinagar.
In Anantnag, Bank’s Zonal Head (Anantnag) Khursheed Muzaffar handed over the symbolic cheque worth Rs 55 Lacs to the nominees/Legal Heirs of four deceased customers in presence of Bank’s Cluster Heads Shaista Khan and Junaid Ahmad Wani, Zonal Head (Credit Life - PNB MetLife) Irfan Ali Zargar, Zonal Insurance Coordinator Ayman Ali Malik and other officials of the Bank and PNB MetLife. In Srinagar, Cluster Head (Srinagar) Asmat Ara handed over the symbolic cheque worth Rs 16.67 Lacs to the Vice Chancellor (SKAUST) Professor Nazir Ahmad Ganai in presence of senior functionaries of the university besides Zonal Head (Credit Life - PNB MetLife) Irfan Ali Zargar, Zonal Insurance Coordinator Manzoor Ahmad and other officials of the Bank and SKUAST.
Expressing gratitude to the Bank and its Insurance partner PNB MetLife, claimants described settlement of claim as a big relief for the families amid tough times.
Speaking on the occasion, both the officials from Bank and Insurance highlighted the significance of insuring the loans. “With a single-premium option alongside the bank funding available for the customers, we can safeguard the families of borrowers in case of such unforeseen eventualities”, said Zonal Head (Anantnag).
Representing PNB MetLife, Irfan Ali Zargar reminded the customers of the goodwill of J&K Bank, which he said, always advises its clients to get their loans insured so that their loved ones are taken care of, in case, unpredictable eventualities put difficult financial burden upon them.
