Early Times Report
DARHAL, Oct 15: World Students Day is a day of celebration, marked each year on the birth anniversary of the former President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, on October 15th. It is a day dedicated to paying homage to his selfless contributions to the field of education and his profound impact on society. In recognition of this significant day, the NSS unit (IMDAD) of GDC Darhal organized a digital workshop centered around the theme: 'FAIL: First Attempt in Learning'.
In the inaugural session, students from the college took to their social media accounts to share inspirational quotes by the esteemed former President, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. This was their way of paying tribute to the noble soul and extraordinary personality of India. Subsequently, they actively participated in an online event by sharing their insights on the occasion. They delved into the life history of Dr. Kalam, his noteworthy quotes, slogans, and messages aimed at inspiring learners.
The students also engaged in healthy discussions, contests, and participated in various activities like food, games, and group discussions. They embraced the spirit of merrymaking while also fulfilling important acts of social duty. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's remarkable life journey and his dedication to teaching served as an immense source of inspiration for the students, motivating them to strive towards becoming the best versions of themselves.
The event was meticulously organized under the able guidance of Prof. Mussaraf Hussain Shah, the Principal of the College. He shared with the students that the life of Dr. Kalam was an embodiment of struggle and inspiration, and it held valuable lessons for individuals, particularly students. Dr. Kalam was a strong advocate for dreaming big and working diligently to turn those dreams into reality, which remains a beacon of hope for all.
Prof. Shah further emphasized that the day encourages innovation and entrepreneurship, ultimately contributing to societal and economic advancement by fostering creative thinking among students. The event was skillfully coordinated by Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch (NSS Program Officer), and the formal vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Tahir Mahmood (HOD English), expressing gratitude for all those who participated and contributed to making this event a memorable tribute to a visionary educator and leader.
