Need to exploit enormous range of religious tourism in J&K: Kavinder

JAMMU, Oct 15: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta paid obeisance here at Bawe Wali Mata temple on the auspicious first day of Navratras and paid for peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking with the media persons after visiting the Kali Mata Temple, the BJP stalwart leader said that bringing absolute peace in J&K is imperative for providing a life full of dignity and pride to the residents. He said that while seeking the blessings from Goddess Kali, he has also prayed for elimination of terrorism from J&K as this is vital for making the atmosphere conducive to realize colossal development and peaceful dwelling.
Kavinder also laid stress on exploiting the huge potential of religious tourism in the Union Territory. He asked all the stakeholders to work in unison and with complete synergy to promote aforesaid contours of tourism in a big way.
He said that Navratras and other religious occasions bring possibilities to ensure that tourists throng the UT in huge numbers and by enhancing the facilities and facilitating the visitors on all counts, these moments could be used to showcase the hospitality of the people of this place, known as Crown of India.
He said that the stakeholders should sit and dwell on scope of creating number of pilgrim circuits in J&K to explore every bit of the potential which the UT possessed so that this form of tourism could be exploited fully besides creating a harmonious society as people of all shades can be engaged using religious tourism in this UT having diverse cultures and versatile opportunities besides enigmatic and charming environs which no other state offers across the country.
