Commanding Officer of 2 J&K Boys Bn. visits GDC Paloura, encourages NCC participation

Jammu, Oct 16: Colonel R.S. Jasrotia, SM, the Commanding Officer of 2 J&K Boys Battalion, visited GDC Paloura Mishriwala. He was accompanied by Cadet Vishal Kumar and Cadet Rohit Singh. The Principal of the college, Dr. Ashu Vashisht, along with faculty members, extended a warm welcome to the Commanding Officer.
During his visit, Colonel Jasrotia interacted with the students and emphasized the significance of the Agnipath Scheme and the incentives offered to NCC cadets.
His primary focus was to motivate the students to join the National Cadet Corps (NCC). He elaborated on the various benefits of NCC in different fields and highlighted the recent Agnipath Scheme. He also encouraged NCC cadets to consider a career in the armed forces.
Dr. Ashu Vashisht, the college’s Principal, commended the efforts of Colonel Jasrotia and the 2 J&K Boys Battalion for organizing such informative and motivational lectures for the future leaders of the nation.
The entire event was organized under the guidance of the college’s Principal and led by Lt. Vijay Kumar Rukwal, ANO, NCC.
Several other faculty members, including Prof. Geetanjali Multani, Prof. Narayan Dutt, Prof. Anoop Kumar, were also present during the event. The visit aimed to inspire and guide the students towards participating in the NCC and exploring potential opportunities in the armed forces.
