TR Gupta Trust extends healing hand with free medical camp

JAMMU, Oct 17: The TR Gupta Public Charitable Trust, Jammu, continued its noble mission of providing free medical assistance to rural communities by organizing a Multi-speciality Medical Camp in the village of Teryath, District Rajouri.
A dedicated team of experienced doctors from various medical specialties converged on Teryath village, situated in the Kalakote block, to offer complimentary medical consultations and treatment to more than 550 patients throughout the day. The esteemed medical professionals included Dr. Ashok Kumar Gupta, former Head of Department, Paediatrics at SMGS Hospital GMC, Jammu, Dr. Kuldeep Gubgotra, a senior consultant physician, Dr. S. S Padha, a senior Bones & Joint Specialist, and Dr. R. C Sharma, a consultant Gynaecologist & Obstetrician.
The benevolent Trust not only provided medical care but also distributed essential medicines free of cost. In addition, medical investigations such as hemoglobin level checks for 250 patients and blood sugar estimations for 40 patients were conducted. ECG tests were also performed as advised by the attending physicians.
T R Gupta, the nonagenarian Chairman of the Trust, although unable to attend the camp due to slight indisposition, conveyed his blessings for the event's success and remained in contact with the Trustees present at the camp. Notable Trustees who were part of this noble endeavor included Dr. Ashok Kumar Gupta, Naresh Gupta, and Kailash Langer.
Speaking during the occasion, Trustee and renowned Child Specialist, Dr. Ashok Gupta, revealed that this marked the third free medical camp organized by the Trust in the current year and the first one held outside the Jammu district. Dr. Gupta further announced the Trust's commitment to continuing these medical camps in other regions, ensuring that healthcare reaches those in need. He also commended the pivotal roles played by Village Sarpanch Ashok Sharma and teacher Ajay Sharma in successfully organizing and facilitating the camp at Teryath.
Various other individuals and functionaries were instrumental in the camp's success, including Raman Pargal, Ajay, Basharat Hussain, Rupesh, Naresh, Punnu, Balvinder, and R. K Sharma. The T R Gupta Trust's dedication to the well-being of rural communities stands as a shining example of compassion and community service.
