GDC Mahanpur celebrates Navratri at Sukrala Devi Temple

KATHUA, Oct 17: In a harmonious celebration of the Navratri festival, the UBA Unit of GDC Mahanpur, in collaboration with the Bharat Scout and Guide Unit, embarked on a cultural exploration to Sukrala Devi Temple. Guided by the College's esteemed Principal, Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, the event aimed to instill awareness and appreciation for our rich cultural heritage. A total of 30 enthusiastic students participated in this cultural voyage.
Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Principal of the College, lauded the commendable efforts of the students and the meticulous planning of the event, orchestrated by the Head of the Department of Sanskrit, Dr. Parshotam Dass. The success of this event was further amplified by the dedication of several faculty members, including Dr. Balbinder Singh, Prof. Arvind Kumar, Prof. Meena Devi, Prof. Saurabh Dutta, Dr. Sapan Devi, Prof. Rupalee Jasrotia, Dr. Hilal Ahmed Bhat, Dr. Md. Sardar Bharti, and Prof. Suman.
The visit to Sukrala Devi Temple not only provided a glimpse into the ancient traditions and cultural heritage but also instilled a sense of unity and respect for our diverse culture among the participating students. It was an educational journey filled with both spiritual and cultural enrichment.
This collaborative initiative highlights the significance of preserving our cultural heritage and fostering a deep sense of appreciation for our traditions among the youth. It stands as a shining example of the positive impact educational institutions can have on the holistic development of students and the preservation of cultural values.
