NEW DELHI, Oct 17: Northern Railway, [Date]: Shobhan Chaudhary, General Manager of Northern Railway, recently conducted a comprehensive review meeting with departmental heads of Northern Railway and Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs). The meeting focused on several key aspects, including safety on tracks, the secure operation of trains, punctuality, business development, and freight earnings. Chaudhary delved into Northern Railway's Capital Expenditure (Capex) Plan to assess the status of new and ongoing projects and other developmental infrastructure work.
Chaudhary reiterated that safety is of paramount importance for Northern Railway. He examined the efforts made in enhancing the maintenance standards of tracks, welds, and the removal of scrap located near the tracks. He instructed the divisions to intensify their efforts to enhance track safety, ensuring the safe operation of trains, and providing necessary guidance to the staff. He emphasized that monitoring signals, rail fractures, and rail welds should be conducted thoroughly, leaving no room for errors.
Minimizing human errors in train operations was another crucial aspect stressed by Chaudhary. He urged department heads and DRMs to maintain punctuality and prioritize the safety of freight loading.
Furthermore, Chaudhary emphasized that the initiatives and concessions offered by the Railways should be effectively communicated to clients. He also noted a steady increase in the loading of food grains and other items month by month. This reflects Northern Railway's commitment to providing safe, smooth, and efficient services to its customers.
