District administration Samba hosts Weekly Block Diwas to address community concerns

SAMBA, Oct 18: The District Administration Samba successfully today organized a significant Block Diwas event, addressing pressing community issues, at the Panchayat Ghar Chajjwal.
The event was presided over by Rajinder Singh, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), along with various high-ranking district officers including the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Tehsildar, District Development Council members and other PRI functionaries.
The Block Diwas event acted as a platform for the local community to voice their concerns, primarily focused on various essential aspects of development and infrastructure.
The community highlighted the necessity for a veterinary hospital to cater to the health and well-being of their livestock.
Locals stressed the importance of upgrading the local high school to enhance the quality of education provided to the youth in the region.
Those affected by recent demolitions in the area urged compensation for their losses.
The event also saw appeals for compensation for the agricultural losses incurred by local farmers.
A demand for establishment of a receiving station was made, indicating the significance of a reliable power supply in the area.
The Block Diwas event served as a platform for open and constructive dialogue, allowing the citizens to directly engage with district officers. Many issues related to electricity, road connectivity and education were raised and commendably, numerous concerns were addressed on the spot by the respective officers.
