Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 18: In a bid to address the growing concerns surrounding post-pandemic stress and its adverse effects on mental health, the Art of Jammu joined hands with the Art of Living to organize Sahaj Samadhi Meditation Workshops. Held in Shakti Nagar and Channi Himmat, Jammu, these workshops, led by Senior Faculty Savita Maa, offered participants a transformative journey towards mental tranquility and inner peace.
Sahaj Samadhi meditation, an ancient and rare form of meditation, is gaining recognition for its remarkable ability to effortlessly guide the mind into a state of deep rest and inner peace, delivering profound benefits to its practitioners. Participants in these workshops shared their remarkable experiences on the path to mental well-being.
The initiative was spearheaded by Renu Aggarwal and Suman Sharma, esteemed faculties of the Art of Living. Sh. Shakti Sagar, the District Teachers Coordinator for Art of Living, underscored the pressing issue of post-pandemic stress and its significant impact on mental health. He emphasized that Sahaj Samadhi meditation stands as a highly effective remedy to restore peace and dynamism in one's life. Savita Maa highlighted the extraordinary effectiveness of Sahaj Samadhi in delving deep into the art of meditation.
This meditation practice, despite requiring minimal effort, is known to yield profound effects. Reported benefits encompass enhanced mental clarity, increased energy, improved physical health, enriched relationships, and an overall heightened sense of peace.
The Sahaj Samadhi Meditation Course empowers the conscious mind to explore the silent depths of one's own nature. In Sanskrit, "Sahaj" denotes effortlessness, while "Samadhi" signifies meditation-a natural state transcending waking, sleeping, and dreaming, offering boundless reserves of energy, intelligence, creative power, and an abode of infinite peace and tranquility.
As GuruDev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar aptly puts it, "People search for joy everywhere, not realizing that the Self is the source of all joy."
The collaboration between the Art of Jammu and the Art of Living in hosting these meditation workshops signifies a significant step in promoting mental well-being in the community and addressing the mental health challenges that have arisen in the wake of the pandemic.
