Advisor Bhatnagar presides over Block Diwas in Panchayat Halqa Jawalapora, Budgam

BUDGAM, Oct 18: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar today visited Panchayat Halqa Jawal Pora of District Budgam and presided over a Block Diwas there.
District Development Commissioner(DDC) Budgam Akshay Labroo; ADDC, Dr. Akhramullah Tak, PRI members, senior officers of the district administration, and other sectoral officers were also present at the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Advisor Bhatnagar emphasized the importance of Panchayats, and said, panchayats play a pivotal role in process of development and it is essential to empower them for holistic progress.
He impressed for speedy completion of developmental works in the area. He stressed on concerned that work on road projects be taken up for early execution and ensure better connectivity to the local population, besides , PHE authorities were instructed to ensure speedy completion of all going JJM works and smooth functioning of all existing water pipelines, reservoirs and filtration plants in the area to ensure smooth supply of potable water to locals.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Budgam emphasized that works related to irrigation, road development, and improvement in other sectors will be executed in a time bound manner for public convenience. He appealed locals to cooperate with Administration so that there's overall development of the area. He remarked that District administration is committed towards overall development of the area and will complete all of its projects within the fixed timeline.
On the occasion, locals, PRIs, elders, youth and respected people from village of Jawalpora, oodura, and other villages interacted with the Advisor who raised their demands with the Advisor .
The interactive session saw discussions on various aspects of local development, including infrastructure, healthcare, education, Jal Jeevan mission, electricity, play field, welfare oriented schemes and other key sectors.
Later on, the advisor Bhatnagar visited the Boys high school Jawalapora and ascertained the basic requirements of the institution. He also interacted with the staff and students.
