DIG Sarah Rizvi visits IRP Range Jammu, inaugurates bakery shop and ATM

JAMMU, Oct 18: Today, on October 18, 2023, Sarah Rizvi, IPS DIG IRP Range Jammu, visited the IRP headquarters to interact with officers and officials. During her visit, she also organized the inaugural function of a Bakery Shop and ATM installed at this unit.
DIG Madam was warmly received by Pawan Parihar, JKPS, SSP Commandant IRP 16th Bn, Rayaz Iqbal Tantray, JKPS, SP Dy. Commandant, Rakesh Kumar Parihar, SP Supervisory Officer Banihal Segment, and other Gazetted officers of the unit. A guard of honor was presented to the DIG IRP Madam by the officers and officials at the Unit Quarter Guard.
During her visit, the DIG IRP Range Jammu inaugurated a Bakery Shop and ATM located at the main gate of the unit. She conducted inspections of various facilities within the unit, including Jawans' residential barracks, the dry canteen, recreation hall, gym center, ration store, and the motor transport fleet.
Additionally, the DIG IRP Madam inspected the Bakery Shop, wet canteen, and the main office of the unit. In the main office, a PowerPoint presentation was made to showcase the entire campus, ongoing works, and manpower deployments.
Following this, the DIG IRP Madam conducted a Darbar of police personnel, which included approximately 200 police personnel, including Gazetted Officers of the unit. During the Darbar, she interacted with the Jawans and officers present, encouraging them to share any grievances or problems they may be facing at the unit level or personally. Several officers and officials used this opportunity to present their grievances, and the DIG Madam patiently listened to their concerns. She assured them that their genuine grievances would be addressed on a priority basis.
In a touching moment, the DIG IRP Madam also honored the wife of the late Constable Sarfraz Ahmad, who had laid down his life in the line of duty while fighting militants in District Srinagar at P/S Nowhatta on August 15, 2022. Following the official proceedings, a lunch party was held at the GOs Mess of this unit, with the participation of District SSP Ramban.
