| SCLU demands implementation of pay panel recommendations | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, FEB 5: Jammu and Kashmir State Central Labour Union (SCLU) today demanded from the state government to implement 6th pay commission recommendations for the all employees of the state government and PSUs at the earliest and granting arrears thereof also. Addressing media persons, Mohammed Yousuf Wani, senior vice president of the Union said that in the past 16 PSUs were working in Jammu and Kashmir, 8 in Jammu and 8 in Kashmir, but due to the mismanagement and bungling most of them have faced closure due to which some 1500 employees of JKI Ltd are not getting their salaries for past many months which has put them to starvation as they have no sources to survive. He appealed to the state government to personally intervene in this issue and take remedial steps on war footing to make JKI fully functional. Among others who were present in the press conference included Fayaz Ahmed Malik, Shamsher Singh Malhotra and Navinder Pal Choudhary.
