DC Rajouri discusses District Export Plan

RAJOURI, Oct 20: A meeting of District Level Export Promotion Committee held today under the Chairpersonship of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal, at conference hall of DC Office Rajouri for the revamping and approval of District Export Action Plan (DEAP) for Rajouri district prepared by Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization J&K (JKTPO).
At the outset, the General Manager DIC Rajouri Convener of District Level Export Promotion Committee welcomed the committee members and informed about the agenda of the meeting.
The consultant from JKTPO Jeetan Kumar presented a PPT and draft district Export Action Plan, detailing both hard and soft measures required to increase exports of products identified under ODOP and district as Export Hub , i.e. Walnut ,Dairy Products and Wool Products.
The DC Rajouri instructed the committee members to go through the draft export action plan prepared by JKTPO and make some valuable suggestions to be included in the draft action plan before it is submitted before the Committee for approval in the next meeting.
He said in the meeting that DEAP Plan must include realistic data of production/export of products and based on that, final export potential products to be finalized for district Rajouri.
Deputy Commissioner instructed that JKTPO team must conduct physical survey of the district to find the production trend and other data pertains to export of products identified by DGFT.
The meeting was attended by CPO Rajouri Mohd Khurshid, GM DIC Rajouri Ashwani Kumar, CAO, Sohan Singh, LDM J&K Bank Rajouri Sanjeev Kumar Bashin, AHTO Talib Husain, CAHO Dr Khalid Najeev AHO, Shafrat Hussian Khan Project Manager DIC, Abid Hussian and Manager JKTPO Aditya Chuni besides other concerned officers.
