Two accused apprehended in Chandigarh by Bakshi Nagar Police

Jammu, Oct 20: On October 14, 2023, in the Shakti Nagar area, an assault case occurred in which Gourav Sharma, son of Chander Mohan Sharma, residing at H.no. 214, Upper Lakshmi Nagar in Jammu, sustained serious injuries. Gourav Sharma is currently receiving medical treatment and remains admitted in the ICU ward of GMCH Jammu.
In light of this incident, Case FIR No. 148/2023 U/S 307 IPC has been registered at P/S Bakshi Nagar Jammu. A thorough investigation was initiated, leading to the search for the accused individuals.
On October 18, 2023, a significant breakthrough was achieved when two of the accused, identified as Danish Sharma, son of Umesh Sharma, residing at Q.no. 47/A, Rehari Colony, Jammu, and Kartik Dubey, son of Ram Krishan Sharma, residing at H.no. 537/JMC, TophSherkhania, Jammu, were successfully apprehended in Chandigarh. This accomplishment is attributed to the collective efforts of SDPO west jammu Vikram Bhau and SHO Bakshi Nagar Rakesh Sharma, and psi dhanraj ic pp sarwal who played a vital role in the investigation and arrests. The police have made substantial progress in this case with the arrests of these suspects. The investigation into this serious assault case is ongoing, and law enforcement authorities are committed to ensuring that justice is served in the matter. The arrests in Chandigarh reflect the determination of the police to bring those responsible for the assault to account for their actions.
