Jammu Sanskriti School emerges overall champion in Open District Speedball Championship

Kathua, Oct 22: The Open District Speedball Championship, organized by the J&K Sports Speedball Association, concluded today at Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of approximately 200 players from various schools in the Kathua District, making it a fabulous sporting spectacle. The participating schools included DPS Kathua, Minerva Public School, Kartar Public School, Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua, D.A.V Collegiate School, J.K Public School, and Crescent Sports Club Janipur, Jammu.
The evening's Chief Guest was S. Manjeet Singh, DSP H.Q Kathua, while Ms. Mili R. Sumbria, Principal of JSS Kathua, was a guest of honor. The event also had special guests, including Mr. Munish Gupta, Vice President of JKSBA, Mr. Sudhir Sadhotra, SHO PS Kathua, and Mr. Narinder Singh Jasrotia, SHO GRPF Kathua. Sahil Janjua, the District Kathua Coach, hosted the event.
The Chief Guest commended the association for engaging a large number of young boys and girls in the Speedball event. The General Secretary of the Association, Mr. Sunny Nanda, welcomed all the guests and provided a brief presentation on the national and international achievements of the association.
The matches were officiated by Ankit Sharma, Amar Kushal, Jagdeep Janjua, Gurvansh Choudhary, Yogant Jamwal, under the supervision of the Event Organizers, Mr. Sunny Nanda, General Secretary of J&K Sports Speedball Association.
In this championship, Jammu Sanskriti School emerged as the Overall Champion, with DPS Kathua as the 1st Runner Up and Kartar Public School as the 2nd Runner Up. All the winners have qualified for the 14th State Speed Ball Championship, which is scheduled for November 9th in Jammu.
