10/23/2023 10:22:28 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 23: The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh is set to hold the 'Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0' program, an awareness and outreach initiative, simultaneously at three different venues in the region. This program is designed to sensitize employers and employees to the provisions of social security and educate them on topics such as filing grievances, fraud prevention, digital services, and the rights of employees concerning their employers. The goal is to ensure widespread participation, enhance awareness, facilitate grievance redressal, and foster an information exchange network close to EPFO stakeholders.
The program will be held at the following venues on October 27, 2023:
Rajouri: Himalayan College of Education, Thandi Kassi, Rajouri, starting from 10:00 AM onwards.
Baramulla: Conference Hall, G.D. Goenka Public School, Baramulla, commencing at 10:30 AM.
Leh (Ladakh): Siddhartha High School, Choskor, Leh, beginning at 10:00 AM.
The program aims to provide essential handholding support to stakeholders and actively listen to their suggestions, inputs, and grievances. Issues and challenges encountered by organizations in implementing the Employees' Provident Fund & Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 will be addressed, and necessary actions will be taken accordingly. Topics such as member enrollment, UAN activation, bank and Aadhaar seeding, online claim filing, e-nominations, e-signatures, and ECR filing will also be covered. Additionally, relevant issues related to EPFO that officers or stakeholders desire to discuss will be addressed.
The program will shed light on the services and benefits of "Social Security," including the Employees' Pension Scheme, 1995, and the enhanced quantum (up to Rs. Seven Lakhs) of the Employees' Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme, 1976, provided to employees in the Union Territories of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh since November 2019. EPFO, Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh are open to valuable suggestions and feedback from all participants during the 'Nidhi Aapke Nikat' program.
The program will be addressed by District Nodal Officers Amit Jakhmola (Rajouri), Suhail Khan (Baramulla), and Pawan Kumar (Leh). It will offer an excellent opportunity for employers, employees, and industrial chambers to engage with EPFO representatives and benefit from this informative and interactive event.
