Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 23: Rich Harvest School (RHS) was filled with joy and fervor as students and staff came together to celebrate the victory of good over evil during the grand Dussehra celebrations. The event unfolded as a splendid cultural bonanza, and various activities were organized to mark this auspicious occasion.
One of the highlights of the celebration was a captivating role-play performance, where Smriti took on the persona of Goddess Kali and symbolically annihilated the demon Mahishasur. The enactment of this powerful mythological tale was met with great enthusiasm from the audience.
In addition to the mesmerizing role-play, students also beautifully portrayed short excerpts from the holy Ramayana, a revered Indian epic. Their renditions not only showcased their talent but also provided a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of our country.
The students were not only treated to entertaining performances but were also educated about the intricacies and significance of the Navratri festival by their dedicated mentors. This served as a valuable opportunity for them to understand the deeper cultural and religious aspects of the festival. The culmination of the event was marked by a poignant moment when the head of the institute, Ms. Anita Bhatia, took the lead in lighting the effigies of Meghnath, Kumbhakaran, and Ravan. The air resonated with chants of "Jai Shri Ram" as the effigies were set ablaze. Bhatia, in her inspirational message, encouraged the students to ignite positive feelings within themselves to overcome any negativity in their lives.
The Dussehra celebration at Rich Harvest School was not only a vibrant and culturally enriching event but also a reminder of the age-old message that good triumphs over evil, and that inner goodness can conquer all challenges. It was a day filled with joy, knowledge, and the spirit of unity and positivity, leaving a lasting impression on all who participated.
