DDC Chairman Udhampur reviews works under district Capex, DDC, BDC, PRI in district

UDHAMPUR, Oct 23: A comprehensive review meeting was held today under the chairmanship of District Development Council Chairperson Udhampur, Lal Chand.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, ADDC Ghan Sham Singh including BDCs, DDCs, CPO Mudassir Yaqoob Zargar and other senior officers.
During the meeting, the DDC Chairperson extensively evaluated the physical and financial progress in various areas, including District Capex, ADP 2023-24 SOS, and new projects in the Udhampur district.
The review encompassed the expenditure under various schemes, with a particular focus on the efficient utilization of funds for District Capex and flagship initiatives. The concerned officers were urged to expedite ongoing projects to meet their predefined timelines and they were given specific directions to enhance their proactive role in driving developmental activities within the district.
The Deputy Commissioner also spoke on the occasion and emphasized the importance of cooperation between District Development Councils and PRIs to elevate the district’s development endeavors.
She stressed that the active involvement of BDCs and DDCs is essential for the effective implementation of developmental schemes.
The Deputy Commissioner encouraged the DDCs and BDCs to actively participate in the Swachhta 3.0 campaign and sensitize the public in their respective regions. She also urged PRI members to monitor the progress of the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme.
Members of the DDC Council presented their concerns and demands, including issues related to unscheduled power cuts, effective JJM implementation, road maintenance, installation of solar lights, and various other concerns raised by PRI members. The DC assured the DDC Council of the District Administration’s unwavering support in addressing these issues and ensuring the district’s progress.
