J&K Assembly Converted into film studio, council creche: Harsh Dev
Democracy dies a quite death in J&K

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 23: Jammu Earlier on Aug 5, 2019 the BJP govt converted the dogra state of J&K into a UT, then gave the fatal blow to Democracy denying elections, demolished the institution of legislative council by converting it into a crèche and now its authoritarianism has crossed all limits in converting the legislative assembly of J&K into a film studio. Pertinent to mention that shooting of films and nasty TV serials are being conducted in J&K legislative assembly with film shooters of different parts of the country including Bihar, Jharkhand etc using the most sacrosanct institution of democracy for dance and theatre". This was stated by Harsh Dev Singh Former Education Minister and State President JKNPP.
While Legislative assemblies in other states and UT's of the country are used to discuss the public issues, evolve remedies for problems of people, undertake legislative business and enact laws, pass budgets for people's welfare, the J&K legislative assembly is being used for dance and drama lamented Singh. He divulged that few years back the legislative council was abolished and the huge complex was converted into a crèche to be used as a play way school for children of blue-eyed officers of the BJP regime.
Describing the BJP govt's decisions as the most contemptuous mockery of the sentinels of democracy, Mr Singh said that such obnoxious moves of the govt had shocked the collective conscience of the democrats the world over. With newer experimentation being conducted on day to day basis and people's aspirations crushed by the BJP govt under its feet, democracy had died a quiet death in J&K and become extinct.
While the corruption in J&K has become all pervasive and unemployment reached its zenith, the govt continues its proxy rule bringing one legislation after the other without any approval of the legislature which too has now been converted into a dance and drama studio, said Singh. It's further shocking that political parties too seem to have abducted their responsibility towards society and the system due to fear psychosis created by BJP regime. None can calm the roar of Panthers who shall continue to fight for justice, equity, fraternity and rule of law in an otherwise incarcerated UT devastated by Jungle Raj asserted Singh.
