Kavinder rubbishes Mehbooba’s remark comparing Palestine with Kashmir
10/26/2023 10:10:38 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, Oct 26: Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta on Thursday rejected the ‘absurd’ remark by PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti comparing Palestine with Kashmir claiming that whatever J&K has witnessed was due to the sins of PDP and NC.
In a statement to media persons, the BJP stalwart said that instead of making unfounded comparisons, Mehbooba should do some soul searching and introspect how her party and the National Conference’s wrong policies alienated the people leading to turmoil and tumult in the society in Kashmir.
He said that the Valley based political parties gave birth to terrorism in Kashmir by misleading the people on a big scale. He categorically accused NC for the mess up in 1987 by way of rigging the polls. He said that if that thing didn’t happen Kashmir today would have been a different entity.
He said that Kashmir based political parties have played a spoilsport in case of handling Kashmir in the past and now when the government led by PM Narendra Modi is taking appropriate steps to bring back the Valley on track, the leaders like Mehbooba are creating bottlenecks by misleading the people through baseless comparisons linking Kashmir situation with that of Palestine.
Kavinder said that the people in Jammu and Kashmir should remain cautious of such distrustful voices as believing in these could again lead Kashmir to another dead end, which should not be the case.
