ADC reviews implementation of HAD Plan in Ramban district

RAMBAN, Oct 28: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Harbans Lal Sharma today chaired a meeting to review the implementation of Holistic Agriculture Development Plan (HADP) in the district.
Chief Planning Officer, Dr. Kasturi Lal, GM DIC, Ravinder Anand, Chief Agriculture Officer, Ram Gopal Sharma, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Animal Husbandry Officer, Lead District Manager, District Sericulture Officer, Area Marketing Officer and various other concerned officers attended the meeting. Reviewing the status of applications received by the Sheep Husbandry and other line departments under HADP, the ADC emphasized on the importance of acquainting the stakeholders with the HADP Programme. He further directed the officers to ensure that a maximum number of farmers, especially Self-Help Groups (SHGs) get the benefit of these schemes.
The meeting was informed that the Sheep Husbandry Department has received 51 applications and the department has shortlisted the applicants under Mutton Self sufficiency and Wool and Plt processing.
The Horticulture Planning and Marketing department has received 3 applications against the 2 schemes including Refrigerated Van and Units Portal Grading Line, while Sericulture department has received 8 applications and the department has shortlisted 6 after scrutiny of applications, the meeting was informed.
The Chief Agriculture Officer informed that they have approved 493 applications, out of 939 received online by the department under HADP. Meanwhile other departments also discussed the applications received against their set targets.
