Early Times Report

KISHTWAR, Oct 28: In a significant development, the Fire and Emergency Services, Kishtwar have deployed a fully equipped Fire Tender, along with essential accessories in Chatroo Town to cater to the emergency situation in the far-flung Sub-Division of District Kishtwar.
This move has been welcomed by the local residents who have been awaited for the facility for a long time.
Previously, in the event of a fire incident in Sub-Division Chatroo, the nearest Fire Tender had to be dispatched from the District Headquarter Kishtwar, resulting in a response time of approximately one hour.
With the deployment of this Fire Tender in Chatroo, the people can now have a sigh of relief, knowing that immediate assistance is at hand.
Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Devansh Yadav emphasized the importance of fire safety, particularly as the winter season approaches. He urged residents to take precautionary measures by storing hay, straw, and wooden logs away from their homes to mitigate the risk of fire incidents.
He stated that this deployment is a testament to the commitment of the Fire and Emergency Services in ensuring the safety and well-being of the residents of Chatroo Town and the surrounding areas. And the local authorities remain dedicated to responding to emergencies promptly and effectively.
