DC Kishtwar sends essential medicines, heating appliances for Marwah and Warwan

KISHTWAR, Oct 28: In a proactive and commendable initiative, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav in the presence of Chief Medical Officer Kishtwar, Dr. M.Y Mir today dispatched essential supplies of medicines and heating appliances to Marwah and Warwan Zone in preparation for the upcoming winter season.
The event was attended by Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Balbir Kumar; BMO Dachhan Krishan Singh Katoch; and District Immunization Officer Kishtwar, Dr. Sajjad in addition to the dedicated staff of the CMO Office Kishtwar.
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar extended his appreciation to the Jammu & Kashmir Medical Supplies Corporation (JKMSCL) for providing the essential medicines. This supply is expected to benefit approximately 26,000 residents in the Marwah and Warwan areas.
Moreover, heating appliances have been dispatched to CHC Marwah, PHC Afti, and NTPHC Inshan, ensuring that healthcare facilities are adequately equipped to meet the demands of the harsh winter.
He added. He further stated that this initiative demonstrates the commitment of the local administration to safeguard the health and well-being of the residents in Marwah and Warwan, particularly during the challenging winter months.
