Relief Organisation (M) hosts series of activities to celebrate UT Foundation Day

JAMMU, Oct 29: To celebrate the UT Foundation Day 2023, Relief & Rehabilitation Organisation has announced a number of impactful activities to celebrate Jammu and Kashmir UT Foundation Day from October 28 to Oct 31.
The organisation is organizing Painting competition, Essay competition, Declamation competition, Run for fun for all age groups, wheelchair race for specially abled and visually impaired, cleanliness drive and cultural programmes to showcase rich Kashmiri culture and tradition.
Through these activities, the Relief Organisation aims to showcase the dynamic transformation witnessed in development and other social sectors in J&K over the past 04 years.
Today, as per calendar of activities/ events organized were Run for Fun all age groups at Jagti, Muthi, cleanliness drive at Head Office, all Migrant Camps, Zonal Offices and Migrant Schools under its jurisdiction and Run for Fun for wheelchair and specially abled and visually impaired at Jagti Playground was the main highlight of the event.
The Nodal Officers and Inspecting Officers were designated by the department for smooth conduct of the events, six wheel chairs were distributed among the specially abled participants by the department.
More than 400-500 migrant students, members of NGOs and inmates of the Camp Jagti and Muthi participated with immense enthusiasm and fervor in all activities and also raised slogans of “EK BHARAT SHRESHTHA BHARAT’’, Clean India, Corruption Free and Poverty Free. 80 participants were declared as winners in the above-mentioned activities and prizes to the winners will be distributed on UT Foundation Day i.e, on 31 October 2023.
The Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner (Migrants) K.K Sidha sensitized all the participants regarding positive changes, development progress and transformation that have taken since the creation of UT in J&K and also requested all Kashmiri Migrants to take benefit of online services and to come forward and work collectively with the Administration advocating corruption free campaign and thereby strengthening Relief organization towards transparent Governance.
In the end refreshments were distributed among the participants.
