06 vehicles involved in illegal mining seized by Jammu Police

Jammu, Oct 29: In a quest to stern the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which police teams of PS Nagrota, PS Akhnoor, PS Miran Sahib, PS Arnia and PP Canal acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at a location in their respective area and seized 06 vehicles involved in illegal mining.
Details of the vehicle seized are as under:
One tipper bearing Registration No JK02AN 7465, by PS Nagrota.
02 tractor trollers without Registration Nos by PS Akhnoor
One tractor bearing Chassis no 524326417147 by PS Miran Sahib.
One tipper bearing Registration No JK02CE 6474 by PS Arnia.
One dumper bearing Registration No. JK02BU 9630 by PP Canal.
The recoveries were made by SHO PS Nagrota Inspr Vishav Partap Singh, SHO PS Akhnoor Inspr Zaheer Mushtaq, SHO PS Miran Sahib Inspr Bopinder Singh, SHO PS Arnia Inspr Deepak Katoch and I/C PP Canal Road PSI Mohd Younis Khanday in their respective jurisdictions.
DMO Jammu was also intimated about the same.
The mining was done in violation of order of Hon'ble High Court of J&k. In order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has initiated strict action.
