REASI, Oct 30: Commissioner Secretary, Information Technology and Information Departments, Prerna Puri today presided over a Public Darbar at Conference Hall of District Administrative Complex here and took stock of grievances and demands of the people of the District.
The Public Darbar witnessed overwhelming response from all sections of the society.
Chairman, District Development Council, Saraf Singh Nag; District Development Council, Members; BDC Chairpersons; President Municipal Council Reasi; Sarpanchs and delegations comprising of prominent citizens, Self Help Groups, NGOs attended the event and put forth their grievances and submitted memorandum of demands.
During the darbar, the Commissioner Secretary gave patient hearing to the speakers and assured that their genuine issues shall be immediately prioritized by the District Administration and the matters pertaining to the Government shall be projected by her to the concerned departments for redressal.
She exhorted upon the District officers to take necessary steps in delivery of services of their respective department, thereby easing the life of common man, which is an an essential parameter of ‘Good Governance’.
Prerna Puri advised the elected representatives to create maximum awareness of Digital initiatives of the Government through which more than 1000 offline services have been made online for their hassle free delivery to the public.
She highlighted that a toll free number 14471 is also made available for facilitating the online services to the citizens besides an Auto Appeal System has been put in place in case the services covered under PSGA are not delivered within the prescribed timeline.
During the darbar, the public raised various issues before the Commissioner Secretary like rationalization of teaching staff in the educational institutions, construction of school buildings across the District, non availability of doctors and paramedical staff in the hospitals, road connectivity, MGNREGA, PMAY Houses, Jal Jeevan Mission, among others.
The public in general appreciated the efforts of the Government and the District Administration in delivery of various services. The deputation of the prominent citizens of the Reasi town raised demands for making functional Mother & Child Care Hospital Reasi, Up gradation of Sula Park and connecting it with Historic Bhim Garh Fort with Cable Car and Development of ShamshanGhat at the Bank of River Chenab near Baradari Bridge Reasi.
District Development Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal; SSP, Reasi Amit Gupta; ADDC, ADC, Reasi and all the District officers attended the programme.
