JAMMU, Oct 30: On the inaugural day of Vigilance Week, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya administered the integrity pledge to district officers and other government officials here in the DC Office.
On this occasion, a signature campaign was also started through which the officials pledged their support towards integrity and transparency in government services.
Emphasising the importance of fostering a strong connection with the public and enhancing grievance redressal mechanisms, the District Magistrate stressed the need for all government offices to work cohesively towards these goals.
He urged everyone present to champion transparency in their work and promote government schemes that benefit the citizens. Timely completion of projects and the saturation of public welfare schemes were highlighted as key objectives.
Punctuality emerged as another crucial aspect of the discussion. The District Magistrate called for a dedicated time for public dealings in government offices, ensuring efficiency and accountability.
In addressing the concerns of Block Diwas issues, he emphasised their priority, assigning responsibility to Sub-Divisional Magistrates for the maintenance of law and order in their respective jurisdictions.
Furthermore, the District Magistrate underscored the significance of providing sincere delivery of government services to the people. He commended the police department, led by SSP Dr. Vinod Kumar and assured that the SDPOs and other officers are always prepared for cooperation.
Concluding his address, the District Magistrate called for special attention to be given to improving social and societal benchmarks, challenging officers to strive for excellence in grievance redressal.
